How to use google map to search for road directions and transport suggestions in any country



Google map is very useful for road directions and searching for transport modes and suggestions if you are traveling inside the UK or any other country. 

The UK is the most popular destination for many tourists. However, oftentimes tourists struggle to reach the desired location simply because they don't know how and from where they should travel, which bus or train they should get on, which station they should go to, and which platform they should use to get the correct train or bus. In addition, tourists sometimes can't ask for help simply because they don't know the language! In this article, I will show you exactly how you search for directions and get on to the right bus or train or walk by yourself without asking for directions from anywhere.

There are very simple steps that you can take to search for road directions and it will also show you which transport to use and from where to get on, just simply using your mobile device and a google map.

If are using an android device follow these steps.

  • Step 1: Simply go to the 'Maps' app icon and tap on it 

Note: if you don't have a google map app on your device you can download it from this google play store link - Google Map

  • Step 2: Tap on the search bar and type your desired destination
  • Step 3: tap on 'Directions' button & tap 'your location'. (Note: tap on ok to turn on google's location service)
  • Step 4: tap on desired transport mode and scroll to check the details. you will see the platform number or bus stop name that will guide you where to go
  • Step 5: Scroll down to see details and when you are ready, tap on the 'start' icon to start your journey. Simply follow the map and you are good to go!!!
